The History Museum of Galati
• It all started in 1980 when Vasile Alexandrescu Urechea came with the idea of Galati having a library and a history museum, both held in the premises of V.A. National Highschool. Now it houses a wide range of exhibitions including tokens, medals, an etnographic exhibition and lots of objects belonging to rich people from the last centuries. Also, there is a wide range of temporary exhibitions, too. One of them including archeological discoveries on the land of Galati.
