Domneasca Street 

    Nae Leonard Theatre
  This theatre was built in 1956 by Ion Mincu, one of the most well known architecturer in Roumania. Nowadays, it is found near the Public Garden, at Mihai Bravu Street, which is close to Domneasca Street . This musical theatre has the name of the well-known musician Nae Leonard.




    Cathedral Saint Andrew
    The cornerstone of the cathedral was placed on 27th april 1906 by prince Ferdinand (he’ll become king) and his wife, Mary. The construction continued form 1906 to 1917. The architects who planned this construction were: Petre Antonescu and Stephen Burcus. In 1989, it began a restauration work which continued 17 years: the  surroundings were remade, and the workers built a new construction in the yard of the Cathedral, called St. John Casian.


    The Administrative Palace
     This building was also inaugurated at 27th  April 1906, in the same day with the cornerstone of Cathedral St. Andrew. It was built during 1904-1905 by Ion Mincu. Here, you can see two statues- “Industria” and “Agricultura”. They were built by Frederic Storck


     V.A. Urechia Library
    V.A. Urechia is the largest library in Galati. This name comes from “Vasile Alexandrescu Urechia”-he found the Roumanian Academy. This library was built on December 7th 1889. The king of Roumania, Charles the 1st , gave his agreement for this constructions. Nowadays, it contains lots of books where you can find everything you want.
